PARTNERS LEAD THE WAY....
 

YAASPA Teaching Partners have approached this school year with positivity, innovation, and a renewed passion. To date, each of our teaching partners are using various tools to engage students via remote learning. Each school has differing plans on how or when in-person learning will take place. We will be sure to keep you posted on YAASPA's policy, procedures, and protocols in regards to COVID-19.
 
P.E.A.C.E. Collective

The P.E.A.C.E. Collective is being spearheaded by our very own Gabby Carrethers. She has taken this seed of an idea, nurtured it, and very purposefully built a network of dedicated educators. She intentionally built a safe place for leaders of color to thrive.

The P.E.A.C.E Collective is designed to dismantle the Euro-centric structure of mainstream education and to rebuild an educational system where diversity is the foundation and equity is the operating philosophy.
 
COLLABORATIVE HEALING SPACE

The collaborative healing spaces are complete with student-partner engagement. Participants meet once a month; dates listed below.

Youth-led groups stay encouraged to work on plans of action centering justice, engaging with one another, and exploring peace within.

Aurora NAACP and YAASPA have partnered for our collaborative healing spaces. 
"Achieve health equity in Colorado's Black community"

CO Black Health Collaborative has been an amazing partner in supporting our youth to center public health. Our partnership interrogated the targeting vaping toward Black and Brown youth.
Project VOYCE "Nothing About Us, without Us."
"Nothing about us, without us."

YAASPA and Project VOYCE have been sharing space with each other to learn from each other's work.

YAASPA's Centering Community Wellness and Resilience program continues to engage and work with families throughout the Denver Metro Area. Along with that, there has been a notable increase in the demand for YAASPA!  With that, we need an all-hands-on-deck  for a season or two.

The immediate need is to assist with food deliveries on Sundays. Please send an email to info@yaaspa.net with your availabililty.
